Hey There,

My name is Mackenzie, but you can call me Kenzie. I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. From the moment I could get my hands on a camera, I was capturing anything and everything I found beautiful.

All About Me

I started taking photography classes at The Arts Place in elementary school and continued taking as many classes as I could throughout middle school and high school. Photography is truly my favorite hobby and job. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and capturing meaningful moments; whether that’s a wedding, an engagement, senior photos, welcoming a new baby, or simply freezing a moment in time that deserves to be remembered.

Outside of photography, I love spending time with my family, friends, my dog Mia, and my cat Pepper. I love kayaking, camping, traveling, reading, crafting, playing tennis, and working my two other jobs; one at my church as an office assistant and another at the local gym’s daycare. I am marrying the love of my life, Jacob, in June 2026. Jacob and I met as toddlers and have known each other just about our whole lives, although we really connected during senior year of High School, where the Lord placed us back in each other’s lives at just the right time. We’re currently renovating our newly purchased home with the help of my dad and many loved ones.

How did KB Photography get started?

In the Christmas of 2021, I was gifted my first professional camera. Not long after, a friend asked me to take her senior photos. I doubtfully said "yes", and that “yes” changed everything. Many more friends asked me to take photos, and soon I realized photography had potential as something I could pursue professionally. In 2022, I had dreams of turning  my passion and love for photography into a business, but with limited time + resources, I had to postpone that dream. I quickly realized that the job I was working was not where I was meant to be, and despite having no plan for the future, I quit that job. My life and future felt confusing and hopeless, and then the Lord opened the door for me to launch KB Photography. From day one, He has faithfully provided; bringing clients, opportunities, and peace. He is my provider, my comforter, my biggest supporter, and my King.

The “K”in KB Photography stands for Kenzie, (my nickname) and the “B” stands for Boyd, my (almost) maiden name. While my last name will change when I marry in 2026, my business name will remain the same; a testament to where I started and the years of hard work poured into this business. Since launching KB Photography, I’ve had the privilege of photographing countless seniors, couples, loving families, weddings, pregnancies, puppies, birthdays, and anniversaries. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every client who trusted me to capture their milestones. My dream is to one day become a full-time photographer. But I know that my future is in the hands of God. I’ve never had to worry about today, tomorrow, or what the future holds because I trust that He has it all handled.

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”- Matthew 6:34

I wouldn’t trade the talent the Lord gave me for anything, and I give Him all the glory for where I am today.
